Walk & Talk counselling in West Kirby
Walk and Talk Counselling allows us to take the therapeutic work outside; this might involve walking, sitting on a bench, working creatively – whatever feels right for you each time that we meet.
I'm a trained walk and talk counsellor and I risk assess all routes. The routes are mostly flat, covering parks and paths. During our consultation we will discuss your needs. There will be plenty of stop off points to sit on a bench and recap.
The relaxed environment can encourage clients to open up and connect more freely. The physical activity and change of scenery can naturally reduce anxiety, boost mood, and facilitate a more balanced and present-minded experience.

How I work
I appreciate how life events or health conditions can tip the balance of your mental health, whether its bereavement, family or relationship problems, living with ADHD or autism, work related stress or bullying or the toll of being a carer for an aging parent or a vulnerable child, managing a chronic illness….All of which can leave you battling anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or confidence, as well as feeling lost, stressed, stuck, overwhelmed, hopeless and detached from those around you.
During counselling sessions, we will explore the day to day difficulties you face, your emotions and feelings as well as relationships, family dynamics, and belief systems to help develop insight into your past and how it is showing up in present day issues. You will set the pace and depth when sharing your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I will listen and be a non-judgemental guide as you consider options and gain clarity, acceptance or a pathway for change (on your terms).
If you decide that I’m the right counsellor for you:
- We will agree on a start date and time.
- I will share a counselling agreement via email for you to read and confirm your understanding.
- I will request payment via bank transfer prior to our session.
- You will be sent a link for WhatsApp Business, Google Meet or will text you my phone number.
- At the first session, we will discuss your goals for counselling, presenting issues and assess your mood.
